This is the cosiest banana bread I’ve made so far! Filled with chocolate chips and cinnamon and a delicious cinnamon crumble on top, this cinnamon crumble banana bread is the ultimate autumn banana bread recipe.

- CINNAMON CRUMBLE BANANA BREAD -
You will need:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/4 cups self-raising flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 200g chocolate chips
For the crumble:
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup vegan butter
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 200C and line a loaf tin with parchment paper.
2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl.
3. Melt the coconut oil in a mug in the microwave for 35 seconds.
4. Pour the melted coconut oil into the mixing bowl with the bananas. Add the vanilla extract and mix to combine.
5. Add the caster sugar, self-raising flour, bicarbonate soda and cinnamon and mix until fully combined.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
7. Make the crumble by mixing the plain flour, caster sugar, light brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Add the butter and use your fingers to massage the mixture until it forms a fine crumb.
8. Sprinkle the crumble on top of the loaf mixture.
9. Place the loaf in the oven for 45 minutes or until a skewer poked through the middle comes out clean.
10. Allow to cool completely before serving.
